STUDENT-IC Radio News Director ('26-'27)
About The Position
IC Radio (VIC Radio and WICB) is seeking a News Director for the 2026-2027 academic year. The ideal candidate is a student who can coordinate, assist in training, and schedule radio journalists and the news team. This team is responsible for creating weekly news programming covering issues related to Ithaca College, local, national, and international topics. The position requires an organized and detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills, both in-person and via email. The News Director must attend weekly VIC Radio and WICB Executive Staff meetings and General Staff meetings. Applicants should have been a member of WICB for at least one semester and be a collaborative team player. Requirements
- Is able to coordinate, help train, and schedule our radio journalists and news team
- Is organized and detail-oriented
- Is a strong communicator both in-person and via email
- Is able to attend weekly VIC Radio and WICB Executive Staff meetings and General Staff meetings
- Has been a member of WICB for at least one semester
- Is a collaborative team player
