Internship Term: January 12 to February 1, 2026 Commitment : Full-time or part-time; required availability during the weekend of January 30-February 1 Location: Onsite in Somerville, MA (in-person)

Requirements

  • Can work independently to manage multiple schedules and projects with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communicator; you can easily establish relationships, are comfortable presenting in front of groups, and can clearly communicate your ideas in writing across various audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with event planning best practices, SLA/SLS printing, and/or hardware prototyping tools a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for 50 hackathon participants; confirm BOM (bill of materials) details, participant registration and waivers, and any other pre-event logistics.
  • Coordinate pre-event and day-of internal logistics with safety, facilities, and engineering teams at Formlabs.
  • Place, receive, and organize supply orders for each team.
  • Order catering and refreshments for Hackathon weekend.
  • Assist with setup, event flow, and communication during Hackathon weekend (January 30-February 1)
  • Contribute to other student-facing talent brand initiatives including our in-kind donations program and program communications.
