About The Position

At ASSA ABLOY, we’re on a mission to revolutionize secure access, and we’re looking for a result-oriented IT Manager whose primary focus will be to oversee infrastructure operations. You will assume accountability and responsibility for the seamless operation of our business systems within our Berlin facility. In this role, you will lead the implementation and maintenance of our company’s business system requirements.The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of professional expertise along with a comprehensive understanding of the industry best practices. Adept at bridging the realms of IT and business, the successful candidate will facilitate communication and act as a liaison between these two domains. As a manager, you will be a hands-on technical contributor, instrumental in driving the development of process models, primarily focused on conceptual and logical levels. This will involve the utilization of Business Process Analysis (BPA) tools. Collaborative engagement is essential, as you will work alongside colleagues to establish the necessary process ecosystem while executing implementations such as screen interactions and dashboards. This position will sit onsite in Berlin, CT.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of in Computer Science, Management Information Systems related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in managing and leading technical teams.
  • Proven working experience supporting ERP systems preferably using JD Edwards ERP system.
  • Strong project management skills including a demonstrated ability to deliver large business process change initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
  • Principles and practices of producing effective project documentation including business functions, business information systems and practices; principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Expertise in system security management and data governance.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.
  • Ability to manage personnel.
  • Strong Time management and organizational skills

  • Hands-on work experience supporting JDE ERP.

  • Bridge the gap between departmental end-users, technical analysts, IT experts and consultants while steering the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems towards operational excellence.
  • Strategically plan, organize, and exercise control over IT and electronic data operations, driving efficiency and innovation to new heights.
  • Safeguard data integrity, network access, and backup systems while employing stringent security measures.
  • Fuse user-centric needs with system functionality propelling strategic objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively tackle problematic areas.
  • Conduct comprehensive system audits, evaluating outcomes and fine-tuning approaches.
  • Uphold asset preservation, information security and control structures, instilling a sense of confidence in the organizational’ s tech landscape.
  • Engineer cost-effectiveness measures that optimize resource utilization, reflecting a judicious approach to IT management and resource allocation.
