About The Position

The US Commercial organization, part of the Global Hospital & Biosimilars organization, manages over 200 products across more than 10 therapeutic areas, generating over $2.5B in annual revenue. The US Commercial Biosimilars Portfolio, with approximately $1B in net revenue, includes eight BSM assets. The I&I Biosimilars Marketing Director is the P&L owner for the immunology portfolio, specifically Abrilada and Inflectra, which reach thousands of patients annually and generate over $400M in annual revenue within a highly dynamic and competitive marketplace. This role reports to the US Commercial Biosimilars Portfolio Lead and involves extensive collaboration with cross-functional partners including Global Hospital & Biosimilars, US Market Access, and Pfizer Global Supply. The position demands strong strategic, analytical, execution, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with agility to work with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities, possesses attention to detail, and can lead and collaborate across the enterprise. Flexibility and urgency are crucial due to the fast-moving nature of the field. The Director is also responsible for developing strategies for personal and non-personal promotion targeting organized customers, HCPs, and patients.

Requirements

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 7 years of experience; OR a PhD with 5+ years of experience
  • Marketing experience and strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical marketplace are essential
  • Experience working on buy-and-bill products required, preferably biosimilars
  • Prior experience with business-to-business transactions required, preferably with GPOs and institutional customers
  • Experience developing “cost and coverage” messaging for HCPs

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and lead execution of branded strategies and tactics to maintain the portfolio’s leadership position in the biosimilars market
  • Collaborate with customer facing teams to target and pursue relevant market opportunities to deliver operational commitments
  • Work in close collaboration with value marketing, and pricing leads to execute “cost & coverage” strategies and tactics with both Payers and Providers
  • Collaborate with Biosimilars Portfolio team to build financial forecasts including Operating Plan and subsequent LE forecasts
  • Coordinate and align biosimilar related work across cross-functional and marketing colleagues, agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure strategic and tactical alignment and execution
  • Explore differentiation opportunities to create sustainable value for customers for the portfolio
  • Assess strategic levers for biosimilars across all stakeholders (HCP, patient, payer/GPO, key accounts, advocacy)
  • Develop creative and strategic insights about customer needs through collaboration with medical, market analytics and sales colleagues as well as directly with customers
  • Transform relevant customer insights into commercial output and development and execution of key initiatives
  • Work with analytics colleagues to understand performance trends, identify opportunities for the portfolio
  • Develop and monitor key metrics to evaluate the portfolio initiatives and make relevant adjustments
  • Primary liaison to PGS and Trade on all activities related to Sales & Operations Planning, including forecasting, supply continuity, supply issue mitigation planning and resolution, and customer management
  • Develop recommendations for management and internal stakeholders on brand priorities, opportunities, and threats; support development of Tactical Plans and Operating Plans
  • Collaborate closely with customer-facing teams, training, RC and others to develop and deliver sales training
  • Manage OPEX budget up to $5M+
