About The Position

We are currently seeking two I&E Construction Managers for a 4 month (approx) opportunity on-site in Baytown, Texas. Candidate MUST be local as perdiem is not being offered and a valid TWIC Card IS REQUIRED Description : The construction manager is responsible for all activities and supporting activities that involve the safe execution of a turnaround, during the execution and close out phase of the turnaround. EHS Ensure all activities during event meets EHS performance goals: Ensure a safe work environment. Lead, coach and clarify questions for contractors in regards to safety. Turnaround Execution Ensure a safe work environment. Manage contract workers to ensure the most efficiency is used. Coordinate all pre/post execution efforts. Manage all field change logs that could affect cost, schedule, etc. Front line execution contact, accountable for direction, supervision, and facilitation of turnaround contractors/staff in their respected areas of responsibilities. The position ensures communication with, and acts as liaison between, operations, qa, planning. Look ahead at schedule to take advantage of utilization of multiple contractors. Ensure contractors have correct training for task at hand. Achieve completion of work avoiding rework. Ensure timely incident reporting of any incidents. Coordinate level two work with ops and contractors so that everyone is safe and efficient. Attend all validation meetings to make sure job package has all necessary documents and is stepped out correctly. Give input to execution lead and participate in the staffing plan for the turnaround. Communicate with execution lead and turnaround team any input or ideas you may have for executing the turnaround to make it safer and more efficient. Walk with logistics coordinator and give input on logistics plan to make sure we are utilizing our real estate as best as possible. Bring change log to update meeting with operations and get all necessary signatures before turning in to document control and discovery planner. If a drawing doesn’t match the work in the field contact the sketcher and engineer to get drawing red lined an approved to continue work. Type a report of your daily activities, and any work you did that was/was not on schedule with a brief message of why. Walk jobs being worked in the field and get accurate update on the schedule and turn into schedulers by 2:00 am/pm every shift Additional Duties: Tag All jobs assigned to them Walk down all jobs assigned Attend all pre required onboarding and training Auditing of Materials by Unit Teams
