Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be certified and/or licensed in one of the following vocations or hold a diploma from an accredited institution in one of the following professions to meet the minimum education and experience requirements: Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT), Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS), Certified Hyperbaric and Wound Care Specialist (CHWS), Documented Hyperbaric Medicine Training, Respiratory Therapist; Physician's Assistant; EMT or Paramedic; Military Corpsman; Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse; Nurse Practitioner; Physician or Physiologist; Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician.
  • 1 year experience as a hyperbaric technician.
  • BLS
  • Must complete Introductory Hyperbaric Training Course as approved by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Wound care, hyperbaric medicine, and/or experience in emergency medicine or acute care hospital strongly preferred.
  • Certified Hyperbaric Technologist from the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology

Responsibilities

  • Operating and maintaining the hyperbaric chamber and associated systems as prescribed by a physician.
  • Monitoring patients in the chamber, including recording condition and ensuring comfort during treatment.
  • Maintaining applicable operating, maintenance, and safety logs.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
