About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Hydro Maintenance Operator III position for our client. Location: Estacada, OR Duration: 12 months Duties: Independently perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance at hydroelectric facilities, including plant startup, manual shutdown, and restart. Install new equipment and replacement components, applying a broad range of maintenance and troubleshooting skills. Monitor daily operations and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Follow applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while making independent decisions as needed. Utilize Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation, and work with facility management systems. Operate and maintain tools and equipment including hand tools, electric drills, skill/table saws, chain saws, hydraulic and air tools, electrical test equipment, cranes, pickup trucks, and forklifts. Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn facility management software.
  • Basic understanding of fire prevention techniques and First Aid.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum 10 years of operations, maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation experience in an operating generating facility.
  • Completion of a one-year trade school program; additional experience may substitute for formal education.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

  • Trade school or equivalent experience preferred.
