About The Position

This open position is located in the Sandy and Estacada Oregon area, specifically at the Portland Hydroelectric and Stone Creek Hydroelectric Projects. Independently perform preventative/unscheduled maintenance and daily monitoring activities at the hydroelectric facilities. This could include plant startup, manual shutdown and re-start. Be capable of installing new equipment and replacement components and possess a broad range of maintenance and troubleshooting skills. Have some knowledge of regulatory requirements and applicable policies and procedures. Normally receives daily direction from the Supervisor but must be capable of making decisions independently.

Requirements

• General knowledge in the mechanical and electrical systems.
• Must be capable of utilizing Microsoft Office and the related word processing systems
• Be familiar with/or willing to learn the work management system (faciliworks)
• Normal assignment requires rudimentary knowledge of fire prevention techniques and First Aid training
• A valid drivers license is required
• High school diploma or GED and completion of a one year trade school and at least 8 years of experience in operations, maintenance, electrical, mechanical and/or instrumentation at an operating generating facility
• Additional experience may be considered in lieu of trade school.
• U.S. Citizenship Required
