About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Hydro Maintenance Operator I position for our client. Location: Estacada, OR Duration: 12 months Duties: • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance at hydroelectric facilities • Conduct daily monitoring, inspections, and operational checks • Execute plant startup, shutdown, and restart procedures • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems • Install and replace equipment and components • Utilize work management systems to document maintenance activities • Operate tools and equipment including power tools, test equipment, forklifts, and vehicles • Follow all safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and procedures • Work independently with limited supervision

Requirements

  • Mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices
  • Microsoft Office proficiency; CMMS experience preferred (e.g., Faciliworks)
  • Familiarity with safety procedures, fire prevention, and First Aid
  • Ability to operate hand/power tools and heavy equipment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • 6+ years of experience in operations, maintenance, or related technical roles in power generation or industrial environments
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

  • Trade school training preferred (or equivalent experience)
