We are looking for a Hydraulic Engineer to join our Water Team to improve infrastructure in our Orlando office. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering and five years of related experience. The candidate should have experience working with hydraulic engineering knowledge applicable to planning, design, and construction of various water and wastewater projects. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include: Assist with hydraulic technical support for the planning, design, and construction of various water and wastewater projects that may include combined/sanitary sewer overflow, collection system, pump station, water, green infrastructure, master planning, hydraulic models and/or other projects Perform hydraulic evaluations of pressurized force main and/or water systems. Perform hydraulic evaluations of collection systems and/or open channel models. Prepare engineering calculations and supporting analysis of alternatives Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities Assist with/review the scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks Document design changes and communications Conduct on-site inspections as needed Assist Project Managers Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc. Maintain excellent client relations Maintain a safe working environment
