HVAC Technician Trainer

JEVS Human Services has an exciting opportunity to join the team at our Orleans Technical College as a Refrigeration Instructor. The Instructor will be responsible for teaching students through hands-on projects and theory in safety, math, and other basics of air conditioning refrigeration and heating. Requirements
- 3+ years experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial systems; experience working with heat pumps, gas and oil-fired furnaces, ductwork, radiant heat, etc.
- Must have EPA certification
- Knowledge of electrical theory and heating theory is a must
- Must have experience soldering and brazing
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction, as specified in the curriculum, in the basics of air conditioning refrigeration and heating
- Supervise students in hands-on trades tasks
- Provide testing of students' knowledge of theory
- Prepare curricula materials
- Utilize varying delivery methods and media to keep students engaged with the lesson for the full class day.
- Maintain student attendance and grade rosters
