About The Position

C&W Services is a leader in providing maintenance and janitorial programs for various facilities. This role is for an HVAC Technician in Dayton, OH, responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance on heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The technician is expected to work independently, troubleshoot malfunctions, install equipment, and ensure compliance with all safety and company procedures. The position also involves assisting in the formulation of preventive maintenance standards and providing feedback on service delivery.

Requirements

5+ years' experience in industrial HVAC/refrigeration maintenance and repairs.
EPA Certificate - Universal Technician.
Working knowledge of hand/power tools, HVAC & refrigeration tools, rigging, and Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.
Ability to work without supervision.
Ability to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment.
Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
Ability to meet physical requirements of the job.
Ability to maintain personal tools required for your job to include an up to date documented personal tool list.

Responsibilities

Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, adhering to "Safety First" expectations including PJHA process, Observation process, and all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on heating/air conditioning and/or refrigeration systems.
Complete tasks with minimal supervision and with the ability to direct other team members, dependent on assigned tasks and employee’s development.
Perform equipment installation.
Perform repairs to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance on such equipment.
Perform refrigeration and repairs.
Perform refrigeration troubleshooting and repairs.
Perform other mechanical related work as assigned.
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance in conformance with established standards.
Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards/work procedures while performing those duties.
Provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, utilizing fall protection equipment as necessary to complete tasks.
Work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
Perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor.
Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
Communicate with all team members to assist the development of short- and long-range planning in assist of the company’s goals and objectives.
Maintain personal tools required for your job to include an up to date documented personal tool list.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
Perform accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
