About The Position

C&W Services is the industry leader in cutting-edge maintenance and janitorial programs for facilities ranging from corporate office portfolios and manufacturing plants to large public venues. This HVAC Support Technician role involves performing repairs and preventive maintenance on heating/air conditioning and/or refrigeration systems. The technician is expected to work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, adhering to all company and site safety guidelines. This position requires the ability to work without supervision, handling equipment installation, troubleshooting malfunctions, and ensuring compliance with all company and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in industrial HVAC/refrigeration maintenance and repairs.
  • EPA Certificate - Universal Technician.
  • Working knowledge of hand / power tools, HVAC & refrigeration tools, rigging, and Preventive / Predictive Maintenance.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
  • Maintain personal tools required for your job to include an up to date documented personal tool list.
  • Meet physical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment, adhering to "Safety First" expectations including PJHA process, Observation process, and all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on heating/air conditioning and/or refrigeration systems.
  • Complete tasks with minimal supervision and potentially direct other team members.
  • Perform equipment installation.
  • Conduct repairs to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance on such equipment.
  • Perform refrigeration and repairs, including troubleshooting.
  • Perform other mechanical related work as assigned.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance in conformance with established standards.
  • Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards / work procedures while performing those duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
  • Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc. utilizing fall protection equipment as necessary to complete tasks.
  • Perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
  • Communicate with all team members to assist the development of short- and long-range planning in assist of the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Maintain personal tools required for your job to include an up to date documented personal tool list.
  • Meet physical requirements of the job.
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Complete accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
