About The Position

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background to join our leadership track. This role is ideal for a technically skilled individual with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to build lasting client relationships, lead operations, and eventually become an owner of the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
  • 10+ years of experience in HVAC systems design, sales, or project management.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC technologies, building systems, and commercial applications.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Business acumen and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, and building owners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design customized HVAC solutions that meet performance and budget criteria.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed technical proposals and estimates.
  • Conduct site visits, analyze system needs, and provide consultative recommendations.
  • Serve as a technical expert and advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee daily operations in sales, estimating, service, and installation.
  • Lead and mentor technical and sales staff; support team development through coaching and training.
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making including business development, pricing strategies, and market positioning.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure profitability, efficiency, and quality of service.
  • Manage vendor relationships, material procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Identify growth opportunities and pursue new market segments and service offerings.
  • Assist with succession planning and business continuity strategy.
  • Learn and contribute to long-term equity strategies with the clear intent of transitioning to a percentage of ownership in the company.
