What this job involves: Join JLL as an HVAC Engineer where you'll be responsible for the critical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of essential building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment. This hands-on role is vital to ensuring optimal building performance and tenant satisfaction across JLL's portfolio. You'll work with cutting-edge building automation systems, particularly Siemens and JCI controls, while contributing to JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional facility management services. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your technical expertise directly impacts building operations and client experiences.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or state equivalent with minimum two years of related trade schooling, college, or equivalent education
  • Minimum six years of experience in building automation systems
  • Proficiency with Siemens and JCI control systems
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 40 feet and lift 60 lbs repeatedly
  • Physical capability to frequently walk stairs, get on hands and knees for equipment access, and detect emergency alarms
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence and team collaboration skills
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Execute preventive maintenance and repair of building systems, analyzing operations to identify and resolve malfunctions
  • Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC, HVAC controls, plumbing, and electrical equipment in both interior and exterior building areas
  • Document all work performed using mobile devices and computerized maintenance management systems with detailed, legible notes
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members while providing excellent customer service to clients
  • Respond to on-call support requests and assist during mandatory utility outages when required
  • Conduct visual inspections of machinery and buildings, accessing difficult areas as needed
  • Maintain safe workspace practices and comply with hazardous materials storage and disposal policies
