About The Position

If you enjoy fixing HVAC and electrical systems then this is the job for you. You will be responsible for providing preventative and routine maintenance, troubleshooting repairs, and working on a variety of equipment within the restaurants in your assigned region. MUST BE LOCATED IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • HVAC/R certification required.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the HVAC/R, electrical and facilities maintenance is required; preferably within the food/restaurant industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working on Commercial Cooking Equipment required.
  • Minimum of 2 years commercial plumbing experience is required.
  • Current EPA 608 Universal handling certification is required.
  • Previous TIG Welding experience is required.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to work general nights, emergency calls, and/or overtime, as necessary.
  • Ability to handle physical workload, lift 60 lbs., and climb ladders.
  • Ability to operate a computer and manage workorders through Ecotrak (Facilities Maintenance Software).
  • Knowledge and maintenance of general and specialized tools and equipment.
  • Must comply with all safety and quality requirements while performing the job.
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions to help resolve on-going breakdowns.
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with restaurant equipment, refrigeration equipment and building systems including but not limited to HVAC and electrical systems.
  • Conduct and completes preventative maintenance programs and inspections on equipment.
  • Provide maintenance, repair, and cleaning of ice machines.
  • Oversee installation of cooking equipment and all new equipment.
  • Ability to lead internal and external vendor teams on equipment installation.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prioritize and complete work orders for multiple restaurants.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, preventative maintenance checklist, and report on daily activities.
  • Communicate with manufacturers, as needed to help with diagnoses and parts identification.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws for refrigerant handling.
