About The Position

Nielsen Mechanical, a Crete United company, is hiring a Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician supporting the Denver Metro and Colorado Springs markets. We are looking for a well-rounded technician who can troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems while delivering a high level of service to customers. Requirements

  • 5 plus years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration service experience
  • EPA Universal Certification required
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Experience with low-temp and medium-temp refrigeration systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and customer-first mindset
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with boilers, chillers, air handlers, cooling towers, and controls preferred

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems ( RTUs, split systems, boilers, chillers, walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins, and ice machines)
  • Support service calls across Denver Metro and Colorado Springs
  • Diagnose system issues and recommend effective solutions
  • Perform preventative maintenance across HVAC and refrigeration equipment
  • Inspect and test systems to ensure proper operation and compliance
  • Adjust system controls to optimize performance and efficiency
  • Complete work orders accurately including time, materials, and notes
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with internal teams and communicate clearly with customers

  • Compensation: $35.00 to $55.00 per hour based on experience. This role is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and may include additional incentive opportunities.
