POSITION SUMMARY: The HVAC Mechanic III oversees and performs diagnostic tests, maintenance and repairs, replacements and installations of air conditioners, refrigeration equipment, heating, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment. Training of new mission partners on the building automation system. Audits documentation for major life safety equipment, including medical air compressors, purification equipment, medical vacuum pumps of various design, and medical gas transmission piping. Coordinates work assignments through the use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in HVAC and building systems maintenance
  • Licensure/Certification: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Section 608 Universal Certification.
  • 2 HVAC-related trade certifications.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
  • Advanced knowledge of DDC-controlled BAS systems and complex HVAC operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and training abilities.
  • Advanced analytical and system optimization skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or full apprenticeship.
  • Licensure/Certification: North American Technician Excellence (NATE), HVAC Excellence, or equivalent.
  • OEM-specific chiller, boiler, or controls training.
