About The Position

HVAC Mechanic ATI is seeking a highly motivated, qualified, and experienced HVAC Mechanic for a new facility located in Springfield, Virginia. Duties and Responsibilities The HVAC Mechanic will maintain and repair HVAC equipment throughout a new facility located in Springfield, Virginia. This role involves working in secure environments in support of mission-critical operations.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen and must be eligible to obtain and maintain clearance
  • Candidate must be able to work independently in a secure or sensitive environment
  • Journeyman HVAC or Master HVAC license
  • EPA Universal certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must demonstrate proficiency with the following: Familiarity with building codes, ordinances and regulations of state and local authorities pertaining to HVAC; and Proficiency with ASHRAE standards to include ASHRAE 55 -Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy, ASHRAE 62.1 – Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality, and ASHRAE 180 - Standard Practice for Inspection and Maintenance of Commercial Building HVAC Systems

Responsibilities

  • Adding refrigerant to or removing refrigerant from equipment
  • Installing and troubleshooting heating and cooling systems
  • Cutting, welding, soldering, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures
  • Replacing component and parts (pumps, pipes, fans, etc.)
  • Using power and hand tools safely to support the facilities
  • Maintaining air and water treatment systems
  • Inspecting refrigerant systems for leaks
  • Reading blueprints & schematics, utility plans, mechanical drawings, and electrical and wiring diagrams
  • Entering data into a Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Other duties as assigned
