Your Role: HVAC Maintenance Technician As a HVAC Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Site Utilities team, supporting reliable operation of process chillers and HVAC systems across the manufacturing site. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving utility equipment while advancing preventative and predictive maintenance practices to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in a technical field preferred
  • Experience or training in refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical systems in an industrial or commercial environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; effective communication and teamwork

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Universal Certification for refrigerant handling (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience with water-cooled and air-cooled chiller systems
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies and tools
  • Exposure to plant utilities systems and HVAC controls

Responsibilities

  • Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance on chillers, HVAC systems, exhaust fans, and laboratory hoods, including seasonal servicing
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and improve chiller and HVAC equipment, including response to off-hours emergencies as needed
  • Support and implement predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, eddy current testing)
  • Communicate equipment status, downtime needs, and repair plans with cross-functional teams and contractors
  • Collaborate with utilities and manufacturing teams to drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement
