About The Position

A HVAC Installation Apprentice will assist Service Technicians and Installers. Duties will include assisting in assembly, installation and repair of HVAC Systems and duct work

Requirements

• Proficient Verbal and Written English language skills.
• Ability to follow and carry out both written and verbal instructions in a timely manner.
• Ability to arrive on time daily.
• Ability to follow and perform procedures and quickly troubleshoot problems.
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints accurately.
• Ability to braze/solder/weld and perform minor field fabrication.
• Ability to safely use ladders in performance of job duties including climbing and descending from a ladder.
• Ability to work at heights above ground floor level.
• Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• Ability to use a tape measure, cut & drill holes.
• Demonstration of proper and safe use of tools, related equipment, and personal protection equipment.
• Adaptability: Manage competing demands and frequent changes in a fast paced work environment.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively individually and in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently in residential and commercial settings.
• Maintain professional well groomed, workman like appearance with no visible tattoos or piercings.
• Maintain professional attitude at all times.
• Willingness to pursue a position as Installation of Service professional.
• Basic hand tools
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and insurability by Company insurance carrier
• OSHA 10 Certification or ability to obtain upon employment
• 1 year or more of work experience
• Authorized to work in the U.S. - E-Verify System is used to verify employment eligibility
• Will be subject to Pre-Employment drug and alcohol tests, background investigation and/or credit check

Nice To Haves

• Enrollment in HVAC trade school preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist Technician/Installer in performance of his/her duties.
• Assist in the repair of both residential and commercial HVAC systems and duct work.
• Assist in planning and coordinating tasks and material amounts required for completion of work.
• Assist in planning and preparing equipment and tools necessary for performance of work.
• Clean equipment and work area upon completion of work.
• Complete paperwork as required on a timely basis.
• Pursue training to improve knowledge and skills with goal to become a Service or Installation professional.
• May be asked to work in other departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
