This is a highly responsible, full-time professional position responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating and delivering health promotion and health education programs and performing outreach activities to the community for tobacco use prevention and control. Responsibilities include initiating and coordinating tobacco prevention and control activities at the county level that focus on: (1) preventing initiation among youth and college age people; (2) increasing access to and utilization of the Florida Quitline and other cessation services for youth and adults; and (3) reducing exposure to secondhand smoke. This position requires the ability to work independently and to work with both youth and adults. Public speaking, coalition building and program development skills, strong program evaluation skills, management expertise, Marketing and public relations experience are preferred. The person in this position must also have a working knowledge of computers and word processing skills.
