About The Position

The HR Intern will participate in a structured 10-week internship program designed to provide hands-on experience in human resources operations, with a primary focus on job description management, compensation fundamentals, HRIS data integrity, and structured interview development. This internship provides practical exposure to how accurate job documentation supports recruiting, compensation, compliance, and workforce planning. The intern will collaborate closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), recruiters, and hiring managers while completing a capstone presentation for executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Interest in HR operations, compensation, recruiting, or workforce planning.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Written Communication: Ability to write clearly, professionally, and revise documentation effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated accuracy and consistency when working with data and formal documentation.
  • Analytical & Critical Thinking: Ability to compare documents, identify gaps, and flag inconsistencies.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with HRBPs, managers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Technology Proficiency: Comfort using Microsoft Office and willingness to learn HR systems and AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Job Description Review & Alignment
  • Partner with HRBPs to audit and update job descriptions across assigned business units.
  • Ensure all job descriptions align with the company’s standard template.
  • Revise job summaries, essential duties, qualifications, and competencies for clarity and consistency.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or misalignment in documentation.
  • Compensation & Job Pricing Exposure
  • Review pay ranges, job grades, and job leveling structures.
  • Compare pricing of roles to similar internal positions.
  • Flag discrepancies or missing compensation data.
  • Gain exposure to compensation tools (e.g., Payfactors) and foundational pricing concepts.
  • HRIS & Data Accuracy
  • Load approved job descriptions into Dayforce (HRIS system).
  • Accurately update job codes, titles, grades, and pay ranges.
  • Maintain data integrity to support recruiting workflows and reporting accuracy.
  • Interview Question Development
  • Utilize AI tools to draft structured, job-related interview questions.
  • Align interview questions with job responsibilities and qualifications.
  • Build awareness of compliance and legal considerations in structured interviewing.
  • Final Capstone Project
  • Develop and deliver a final presentation to the Executive Leadership Team summarizing:
  • Completed job description updates
  • Key learnings in compensation and HRIS
  • Interview toolkit contributions
  • Overall impact and recommendations
