About The Position

Purpose: The EDE Student Associate supports the Employee Development and Engagement (EDE) team within University Housing and Dining (UHD). This role contributes to the planning and execution of employee training, development initiatives, community-building efforts, and recognition programs for a department of over 1,800 employees.

  • Experience working in an office setting.
  • Ability to multitask and balance academic and work responsibilities.
  • Coursework or experience in communication, visual design, or presentation development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and macro-enabled spreadsheets.
  • Experience creating training materials.
  • Background in human resources, food services, or residence life.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, deliver, and distribute training materials and packets.
  • Assist with the coordination and facilitation of employee trainings, events, and new employee orientations.
  • Create digital promotional materials to support internal communication and engagement.
  • Provide administrative support, including: Customer service and front-line support Document sorting and filing Complex data entry and report generation
  • Participate in the UHD CARE Committee, as schedule permits.
  • Support the development of online training modules and presentations.
  • Translate training materials into Spanish, as applicable.
