About The Position

This position supports the Quapaw Nation by managing full cycle recruitment and ensuring a smooth, organized onboarding process for new employees. This role handles job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, hiring documentation, and orientation activities while maintaining compliance with Quapaw Nation policies and employment regulations. The position works closely with supervisors and HR staff to provide a positive new hire experience and help build a strong, engaged workforce for the Nation.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of full cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection techniques.
  • Skilled in evaluating candidate qualifications against specific job requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with candidates, employees, and hiring managers.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when completing documentation, onboarding forms, and HR records.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Comfortable using virtual meeting platforms and digital recruiting tools.
  • Demonstrate ability to learn new software systems and HR technologies.
  • Maintain a current driver’s license in good standing and qualify under the Quapaw Nation Motor Vehicle Policy.
  • A minimum of an associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred in human resources field.
  • A minimum of (5) years of job related experience in a human resources department may substitute for education.
  • General knowledge of applicable tribal employment laws and practices is necessary for the successful performance of the position’s essential functions.
  • The incumbent must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of Must be able to travel occasionally for attendance of seminars, lectures, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and post job advertisements across multiple platforms to attract qualified candidates.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone screens, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Manage interview scheduling, candidate communications, and logistical arrangements throughout the hiring process.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure job descriptions and interview materials remain accurate, up to date, and aligned with departmental needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, and community outreach.
  • Maintain applicant tracking data and ensure adherence to established hiring procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate and represent the organization at job fairs, career events, and community outreach programs.
  • Prepare new hire documentation, offer letters, and onboarding packets.
  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions, covering organizational policies, culture, benefits, and workplace expectations.
  • Ensure completion of all pre-employment screenings, including background checks, drug testing, and I-9 verification.
  • Monitor onboarding progress to ensure a positive, thorough, and engaging new hire experience.
  • Maintain accurate candidate, onboarding and employee data within HRIS systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain informational bulletin boards in the lobby to ensure materials are current and well organized.
  • Assisting with general office projects that fall outside of recruitment or onboarding responsibilities.
  • Provide backup support to other HR functions as needed.
