About The Position

The HR Specialist is a core member of the ACIT Division HR team, providing support and guidance to management and employees. The HR Specialist provides support in many different areas, including recruitment, retention, employee performance management, employee engagement, employee development initiatives, goal setting, and succession planning. This position partners with leaders and employees and collaborates with other human resources professionals to offer specialized business knowledge and guidance to ensure the company attracts, develops, and retains top talent. The HR Specialist helps design and implement programs that build workforce capability, strengthen company culture, and drive employee success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, business, or other related field or five (5) years of related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image to employees and external contacts.
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of key business and mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to lead the application of Amphenol-CIT policy, procedure and within client groups and contacts.
  • Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of managers and employees, and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources.

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or Talent Management credential a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with HR team to drive the implementation and administration of talent programs such as performance management, talent calibration, succession planning, and career development.
  • Partners with HR and managers to support execution on talent and succession planning and development activities.
  • Coordinates training programs, workshops, and learning opportunities to develop employee skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Track and analyze talent metrics to inform workforce planning and program effectiveness, and to provide data-driven decision making.
  • Assist in designing and executing initiatives that promote employee engagement, well-being, and retention.
  • Partners with HR and marketing to strengthen ACIT’s employer brand, develop recruitment collateral, and develop relationships with technical schools and other sources of talent.
  • Support recognition programs, communications strategies, and culture-building activities.
  • Support ACIT-wide development initiatives such as mentoring programs, career pathways, and individual development plans. Owns ACIT internship program.
  • Conduct stay interviews, exit interviews, and data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assists with evaluation of critical roles, high-potential employees, and readiness levels.
  • Identifies training needs for sites and individual coaching needs. Provides coaching and feedback to employees and leaders where appropriate.
  • Design, coordinate, and deliver in-person and virtual training programs across the organization, including leadership development, compliance training, skill-building workshops, and onboarding modules.
  • Assess learning needs through surveys, interviews, performance data, and collaboration with leaders to identify skill gags and development priorities.
  • Develop training materials such as presentations, facilitator and process guides, and e-learnings for various internal audiences.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) by uploading courses and tracking participation; maintain accurate employee talent management records and documentation. Manages ACIT-wide required compliance trainings and may provide support for plant-specific trainings.
  • Source and coordinate external training or vendors.
  • Other duties as required in support of the department and the company.
