About The Position

The Human Resource Specialist will be a self driven task and project based position that will provide knowledge to all positions within Human Resources and Learning & Development. They will be responsible for independently identifying creating actionable items to any and all needs of the organization. This will include but is not limited to employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, training, developing, benefit administration, leave administration and administrative tasks. This position will work close partnership with operations to endure all the needs are met in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish/Polish) is necessary.
  • Must have an attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with grammar and composition to prepare, review and edit documents.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Computer experience is required.
  • Work extended hours, weekends and overtime if needed.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced knowledge of Google Suite as well as Microsoft platform is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support for internal/external customers.
  • Answering incoming calls to the HR department and directing them to the correct individual.
  • Ensure that all needed supplies are inventoried, ordered and stocked on a regular basis.
  • Activities centered around recruiting process.
  • Audit, data entry, maintenance of HR systems.
  • Assist team members with questions regarding pay, benefits and any other HR related questions.
  • Verification of employment for outside inquires.
  • Benefit and Leave administration.
  • Acting as the first line of contact team members in regards to benefits enrollment, responsible to general inquiries, assisting team members in resolving difficulties and/or finding clarifications, and maintaining benefits records and databases.
  • Assist in the handling of employee relations issues.
  • General HR Support for internal/external customers.
  • Assist with translating for team members as needed.
  • Responsible for helping maintain personnel files.
  • Serve as a backup to other Human Resource positions.
  • Serve as a translator for meetings, investigations and there team member inquires.
  • Communicate with Operation leaders regarding the progress and development of team members in their first ninety (90) days of employment. This includes making available and tracking the completion of On-The-Job Training, Job Safety Analysis, and Work Hardening documents, including any other document or form required for the effective tracking of New Hire learning and envelopment.
  • Maintain spreadsheets that reflect the completion status of all documents related to New Hire learning and development .
  • Facilitate and keep records of quarterly (or to-be-determined interval) Compliance learning opportunities for all Team Members working in operation areas. Topics may include-but are not limited to Safety, Food Safety, Human Resources, or Business Technology, and may be presented through an in-person, virtua, or blended classroom setting.
  • Organize and lead facility tours for New Hires, Potential Hires, and Visitors, after developing a wide knowledge of floorplan, processes, products, and equipment of/within a given facility.
  • After developing a proficiency in classroom facilitation, lead in total or in pa the New Hire Orientation presentation, whether in person or in a virtual classroom setting.
  • Organize and provide information necessary for the successful completion of audits and to meet all auditor expectations .
  • Leading, organizing, and facilitating in-person or virtual learning opportunities for group larger and smaller than ten people.
  • Communicated simple and complex ideas and information through verbal and written means in more than one language, including English (Preferred).
  • Possess strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize competing business needs.
  • Suggest appropriate training methods to use per person.
  • Demonstrate optimism and influence in their approach to all forms of communications .
  • Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the Company, Facility, and Department.
  • Assist with new employee hiring processes.
  • Evaluate training progress if newly hires Team Members and assist in the comprehension of processes and expectations, as needed.
  • Flexibility of schedule to meet the needs of Team Members over multiple shifts.
  • Drive continual improvement in quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Participate in meetings as needed.
  • Serves as mentor for newly hired team members.
  • Partner with all departments of the organization .
  • Other duties as assigned.
