Here is a chance for you to make a positive impact - join us in this career opportunity: Human Resources Partner (1st shift 8:00AM-4:30PM approx) This non-supervisory position, in Delavan, Wisconsin, teams with HR and Continental Plastic (CPC) leadership to maintain a higher performing, highly engaged workforce that is focused on quality, cost, and delivery through effective leadership and support of the functions within Human Resources including total rewards, payroll administration, time and attendance, compliance, staffing, safety, worker's compensation, employee relations, and HCMS technology with the goal of achievement of functional KPIs and strategic objectives. Under the guidance of the Director of Employee Experience, responsibilities include:

Requirements

  • Education, training, and experience equivalent to an associate's degree in business, human resources, or similar field with 3-5 years working knowledge within compensation, payroll administration, safety, benefits, and staffing (preferably within an industrial environment).
  • Must possess a solid knowledge of wage/hour, ERISA, OSHA, and employment law.
  • Must possess the ability to build positive team relationships and achieve outcome-oriented objectives; working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies with a holistic viewpoint; ability to work in a fast-paced environment, setting priorities and managing time effectively.
  • Must possess an intermediate knowledge level of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required, as is experience working with HCMS platforms such as iSolved.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from HRCI or SHRM is strongly encouraged.
  • Bi-lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with area leadership to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
  • Recommend/support staff succession and retention programs.
  • Build successful relationships at all organizational levels to maintain an atmosphere of trust and respect. Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment.
  • Participate in the on- and off-boarding of staff, communicating benefit eligibility and enrollment process, review, and assessment of termination requests, and conduct exit interviews.
  • Support the compensation plan by monitoring the labor market for internal/external equity; schedule/conduct job evaluations; prepare pay budgets; monitor/schedule individual pay actions; and recommend/implement pay structure revisions.
  • Maintain benefit programs. Study and assess benefit needs and trends; recommend programs; direct processing of benefit claims; design/conduct educational programs on benefit programs and process annual open enrollment. Participate in annual renewal process.
  • Manage/administer payroll to include bi-weekly processing, time-and-attendance recordkeeping, government compliance reporting, tax withholding/filings, deductions, remittances, staffing changes, day-to-day support.
  • Enter/maintain data within the HCMS, implement process improvements, measure for success, and ensure data integrity including employee records, time/attendance, payroll, performance management, applicant tracking, compensation, benefits, etc.
  • Ensure employment labor law compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements (ERISA; privacy; COBRA; federal and WI wage and hour; IRS; OSHA; and other governing agencies). Communicate and execute and necessary changes. Conduct investigations in collaboration with legal counsel. Compile and prepare required reporting.
  • Recommend HR policies and procedures including, but not limited to, the employee handbook, job descriptions, and performance reviews.
  • Play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a culture that prioritizes a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of incidents, training, and safety-related communications.
  • Speak for the company's needs when serving on any team discussing existing HR programs or developing new HR programs.
  • Influence and drive organizational-change strategies in support of business strategies.
