The Opportunity Our growing campus in Prescott, AZ, approximately 100 miles North of Phoenix, is seeking a resourceful, results-oriented individual to support the HR function for just over 700 employees campus-wide. The Human Resources Partner plays a critical and strategic role within the Prescott HR team, serving as the campus’ lead liaison in all things related to employee support. This position is responsible for executing innovative, results-driven strategies to retain and develop top-tier faculty and staff across a wide range of disciplines and functional areas at the Prescott campus. In close collaboration with 30 University wide HR staff, including the Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, Executive Director, Director of Recruiting and Compensation, Manager of Learning and Engagement, as well as academic leaders and department heads, the HR Partner helps ensure alignment between HR strategies and institutional goals, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement. The Prescott HR Partner is instrumental in shaping the employee experience at Prescott, beginning with hosting first-day benefits sessions, participating in new employee orientation, 15-day check-ins, and new hire luncheons. The HR Partner leads campus-specific engagement initiatives in coordination with the Engagement team, focusing on fostering a positive, inclusive, and connected workplace culture. These initiatives include the planning and implementation of events and programs (service awards events, appreciation days, campus tours) that build community, support retention, and reinforce the University’s values. Additionally, the HR Partner provides broad support across a variety of general human resources functions, working closely with and providing support to the Executive Director as needed. This multifaceted position requires a proactive, collaborative, and people-focused professional who can balance multiple priorities while providing hands-on execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management or similar field
  • 1-3 years of relatable experience

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
  • Provide top-tier customer service to the campus community, including faculty, staff, and students
  • Answer departmental phone calls and manage the generic email account (personally and via student workers)
  • Serve as campus liaison for all HR functional areas (systems, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, engagement, learning & development, compliance, operations)
  • Gather detailed information, coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs), and provide timely responses and solutions
  • Employee Onboarding
  • Assist recruiters with pre-screening activities (skills assessments, background checks, reference verifications, drug screenings) and escalate concerns as needed
  • Ensure timely completion of new hire I-9s and maintain recruitment documentation
  • Facilitate onboarding to support employee integration and engagement from day one
  • Promote EAGLEguide participation, assist with satisfaction surveys, analyze results, conduct exit interviews and recommend workplace improvements
