Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Human Resources management, including payroll and benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance standards, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

Nice To Haves

  • HRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar certification is a plus
  • Experience with Paylocity is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, workplace concerns, and organizational practices.
  • Lead and resolve employee relations matters, including conducting investigations, evaluating findings, and ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Partner with managers to address performance, conduct, and engagement issues, offering coaching and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and provide recommendations to leadership to improve retention and culture.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define workforce needs, develop job descriptions, and manage the full recruitment lifecycle.
  • Lead candidate evaluation processes, coordinate initial interviews, guide hiring teams through selection, and make data driven hiring recommendations.
  • Oversee the end-to-end onboarding experience, including offer preparation, HRIS setup, benefits enrollment, orientation, and coordination with IT for systems and equipment.
  • Strengthen onboarding processes to improve new-hire readiness, engagement, and time-to-productivity.
  • Support the development and implementation of a structured performance management framework, including job description alignment, goal-setting processes, and review templates.
  • Advise managers on performance expectations, coaching strategies, and corrective action plans, including PIPs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous feedback and accountability.
  • Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and alignment with best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR files, documentation, and processes to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain the HR SharePoint site and ensure proper document management.
  • Lead or support compliance initiatives including Affirmative Action planning and preparation for internal and external audits (Accounting/Financial, AS9100, OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, R&D Tax).
  • Manage employee personnel files and ensure secure, organized recordkeeping.
  • Collaborate with the Controller to support development of the annual HR budget.
  • Administer the organization’s benefits programs (Health, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, Life, 401k), ensuring accurate enrollment, communication, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as a resource to employees and managers on benefits, compensation, and payroll matters.
  • Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy in adjustments, corrections, direct deposit changes, and payroll system administration.
  • Support and execute employee engagement initiatives, including team-building events, recognition programs, and culture-enhancing activities.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development programs for employees and hourly associates.
  • Manage and maintain the organization’s training platform, ensuring compliance with required learning and documentation.
  • Partner with vendors to source and manage company swag and employee recognition materials.
