About The Position

The Human Resources Manager plays a vital role in supporting Lentegrity employees and fostering a positive, well-supported workplace. This position helps ensure employees have the resources, guidance, and environment they need to do their best work and continue growing with the organization. In this role, you will support a broad range of people-focused and office operations, including recruiting and onboarding, employee relations, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and general office management. You will also partner closely with Lentegrity’s third-party Professional Employer Organization (PEO) to ensure effective, compliant, and employee-centered HR practices across the company. This is a hands-on, highly visible role requiring sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting people.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience required
  • High school diploma
  • Working knowledge of California and federal employment laws, including wage and hour rules, leave laws, harassment prevention, workplace safety, and related compliance requirements
  • Approachable, empathetic, and trustworthy, with sound judgment and a strong sense of integrity
  • Able to work independently without direct HR management and effectively prioritize responsibilities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, especially when handling sensitive matters
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain clear boundaries and impartiality
  • Resourceful and capable of researching regulations and best practices
  • Adaptable and effective in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal communication skills including written English, grammar, spelling, and clarity

Nice To Haves

  • Degree or certification in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits, payroll, 401(k), and outsourced HR services
  • Coordinate benefit communications, open enrollment, and employee updates through the Insperity portal
  • Partner with managers and Insperity to support performance management plans
  • Oversee payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, including timecard approvals, PTO resolution, payroll runs, and monthly reporting
  • Address payroll inquiries and escalate issues as needed
  • Partner with hiring managers to maintain job descriptions and support hiring plans and approvals
  • Review salary ranges and assist with compensation discussions
  • Post positions, conduct pre-screens, and prepare offer letters
  • Coordinate onboarding communications, I-9 verification, and new-hire logistics
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Serve as the contact for employee relations concerns
  • Support resolution of routine workplace issues and conflict
  • Conduct initial fact-finding and escalate higher-risk matters appropriately
  • Provide practical HR guidance to leaders and managers
  • Support daily office operations and foster a positive workplace culture
  • Plan and organize office events at the direction of the Executive Team
  • Identify and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and morale
