About The Position

Provides comprehensive Human Resources support across employee relations, leave administration, performance management, retention, and employee engagement while ensuring compliance, consistency, and a positive employee experience. Partners closely with the Senior Vice President of Human Resources to strengthen HR operations, maintain policies and procedures, support funder requirements, and advance strategic workforce initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Three to five years in HR, including a solid foundation in employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws including ADA, FMLA, EEO, Wage and Hour, Title VII, and other labor related legislation.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and other related technology required.
  • HRIS experience required.
  • High level of integrity and a strong understanding of confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage HR projects and initiatives.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with professionals.
  • Customer service skills and experience required.
  • Ability to edit, complete, and assemble reports.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
  • Two years of supervisory or coaching experience preferred.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and leaders regarding employee relations, workplace concerns, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
  • Provide guidance to employees and leaders on workplace policies, expectations, and best practices.
  • Lead recruitment efforts through strategic sourcing, job fairs, networking events, and community outreach to attract qualified candidates.
  • Prepare and extend employment offers in alignment with compensation practices and approval protocols.
  • Oversee pre-employment processes including background checks, employment verifications, and required documentation.
  • Conduct New Employee Orientation to provide essential organizational knowledge, policies, and resources.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to ensure onboarding readiness, including system access and operational preparation.
  • Administer new employee surveys during the first year and analyze feedback to improve the employee experience.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within HR systems and employee records.
  • Collaborate with Finance and internal partners to support effective HR operations.
  • Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA and ADA accommodations, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, organizational policies, and confidentiality standards.
  • Support Human Resources audits, funder monitoring activities, and compliance reviews.
  • Support performance management by coaching leaders on documentation, corrective action, and employee development.
  • Monitor trends in employee relations, leave usage, and turnover to identify risks and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Human Resources standard operating procedures to promote consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain and update Human Resources policies and the Employee Handbook, recommending revisions as needed.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and events that strengthen organizational culture and connection.
  • Manage employee separations, including resignations, involuntary terminations, and exit processes, and analyze separation trends.
  • Support the Senior Vice President of Human Resources with analysis, recommendations, strategic initiatives, and special projects.
  • Assist with special projects that advance workforce effectiveness, compliance, and organizational priorities.
  • Adhere to HIPAA, FIPA, PHI, PII requirements.
  • May be classified as essential, requiring prompt and effective action during critical situations to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
  • Contribute to overall organizational success by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
