JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Partner with Plant Manager or Business Unit Leader in the planning and implementation of human resources objectives and initiatives for the site(s) • Advise Plant management and Corporate HR on organizational and team member issues and recommend needed changes • Manage enforcement and administration of appropriate policies, procedures, practices, and programs for effective management of people resources in compliance with company policies and applicable legislation • Lead management and administration of other Human Resource support functions including payroll, compensation and benefits, performance management, organizational development and succession planning, job evaluation/descriptions, awards and recognition, company clothing, communications, social activities, and public/community relations • Perform difficult staffing duties, including resolution of staffing issues, investigation of disputes, team member termination, and administering corrective action procedures • Establish positive team member relations practices and initiatives to drive site team member engagement • Lead administration of collective bargaining agreement including grievance handling and negotiations in represented settings • Manage and coordinate HR acquisition and placement activities including staffing strategy, planning, hiring, EEO, and employment practices for both hourly and salaried employment. Identify staff vacancies within the plant and recruit, interview, and select applicants. • Manage the design, development, implementation, and completion of numerous programs, projects, and activities to ensure team members are educated, trained, and developed. REQUIREMENTS Education: • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Business Administration, HR Management, or related discipline required • Human Resources Certification preferred Years of Experience: • 5-10 years Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment • 2+ years Human Resources leadership experience • Employee/Labor Relations experience • Experience with talent management, including recruitment, performance management, and employee development • Experience in project management, change management, and conflict management/resolution Other Requirements: • Regular and predictable attendance required • Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays KEY COMPETENCIES • Knowledge of principles and procedures for team member recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, employee/labor relations and negotiation, and human resource information systems (HRIS) • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic staff planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
