About The Position

The Human Resource Specialist – Level 2 provides mid-level HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance processes, compliance, and general HR administration. This role requires a professional who can manage day-to-day HR activities with accuracy, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and leadership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in HR best practices, and capable of balancing administrative responsibilities with employee-facing support in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of experience in Human Resources or related administrative support role.
  • Working knowledge of HR laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, or onboarding tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Problem-solver who demonstrates sound judgment and reliability in decision-making.
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Comfortable using HR software, digital forms, and employee management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle recruitment including posting jobs, screening applicants, and scheduling interviews.
  • Assist hiring managers with candidate evaluations and selection processes.
  • Conduct new-hire onboarding, orientation, and required documentation processing.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Assist with handling employee concerns, documenting issues, and escalating matters to HR leadership as needed.
  • Promote positive employee relations and help support a respectful, compliant workplace environment.
  • Maintain confidential employee files, records, and HR databases with high accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state employment laws.
  • Prepare HR reports, data summaries, and documentation as required.
  • Assist in administering performance review cycles, disciplinary processes, and corrective action documentation.
  • Provide support with benefit enrollments, eligibility tracking, and employee inquiries.
  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure timely submission of employee changes, status updates, and corrections.
  • Assist employees in navigating benefits systems and understanding available programs.
  • Support scheduling and coordination of employee training programs.
  • Assist with company engagement initiatives, culture-building activities, and internal communications.
  • Help ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and workplace standards.
