About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Human Resources Support Specialist II to support HR operations at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. This role serves as a key administrative and compliance support partner to site leadership, ensuring accurate HR processes, personnel data integrity, and a positive employee onboarding experience in a healthcare environment. The HR Support Specialist II will play an integral role in maintaining compliance with employment regulations and Sodexo policies while supporting employees throughout the employment lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of Human Resources experience or equivalent administrative HR support experience
  • Working knowledge of HR compliance and employment regulations
  • Experience maintaining personnel files and confidential employee data
  • Familiarity with HR systems and data management
  • Experience supporting pre-employment and onboarding processes
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of employee benefits administration (preferred)
  • E-Verify experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain personnel files and employee data in accordance with Sodexo policies, regulatory requirements, and data privacy standards
  • Support pre-employment and onboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, orientation coordination, and system entry
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations, HR policies, and documentation requirements
  • Process and verify employment eligibility using E-Verify (preferred experience)
  • Provide HR systems support, including data entry, updates, reporting, and audits
  • Assist employees with benefits information and general HR inquiries; escalate complex issues as appropriate
  • Partner with site leadership and HR partners to support staffing changes, terminations, and employee status updates
