About The Position

Human Resources Internship – Summer 2026 Location: Newburyport, MA Help shape the employee experience: At UFP Technologies, we transform innovative concepts into real-world medical products that improve lives. As a Human Resources Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience across HR operations, employer branding, and early career initiatives—while working closely with HR leadership in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This internship is designed for a motivated student interested in HR, communications, business, or technology who wants exposure to strategic HR initiatives within a high-growth medical device manufacturing organization. ---------------------------------------- WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE During your internship, you’ll contribute to key areas of our HR function, including: HR Operations & Documentation Help streamline and update the employee handbook, ensuring alignment with company policies and culture Assist in organizing and improving HR documentation for clarity, accessibility, and usability Partner with internal stakeholders (and external counsel when needed) to identify policy gaps HR Technology & AI Enablement Support development of a SharePoint-based AI tool to enhance employee self-service Identify common employee questions and help build clear, user-friendly HR resources Participate in user testing for HR systems and assist in creating SOPs and process documentation Employer Brand & Early Career Strategy Help build and execute UFP’s early career brand across platforms like LinkedIn and Handshake Support content creation including blogs, employee spotlights, and culture-focused storytelling Assist in developing early career educational materials and recruiting content Coordinate short-form videos highlighting career paths and UFP culture Talent Pipeline Engagement Support engagement efforts with past interns and strong candidates from prior recruiting cycles You’ll work closely with a mentor to set meaningful goals, contribute to real projects, and gain exposure to how HR supports business strategy and employee experience. ---------------------------------------- ABOUT UFP TECHNOLOGIES: UFP Technologies is a designer and custom manufacturer of comprehensive solutions for medical devices, sterile packaging, and other highly engineered custom products. UFP is an important link in the medical device supply chain and a valued outsource partner to most of the top medical device manufacturers in the world. The Company’s single-use and single-patient devices and components are used in a wide range of medical devices and packaging for minimally invasive surgery, infection prevention, wound care, wearables, orthopedic soft goods, and orthopedic implants.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in HR systems, technology, or AI tools is a plus
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SharePoint experience is a plus
  • Creative mindset with interest in employer branding or content creation preferred
