About The Position

The Human Resources Intern will work primarily with YAI's Volunteer & Internship program serving as a representative of YAI within the community, leading the charge in recruiting and onboarding. The Human Resources Intern will also support the HR department on various projects including but not limited to university engagement and employee recruitment efforts.

Responsibilities

• As a face of YAI in the community, you will communicate our mission, vision, and opportunities throughout the regions that YAI serves.
• You will assist with recruiting, screening, and onboarding prospective volunteers and interns and support them once they have been onboarded.
• The Human Resource Intern will be responsible for accurate volunteer and intern record tracking and data management through Salesforce and Workday.
• The Human Resources Intern may also assist in creating monthly Volunteer Newsletters, posts for social media, letters of appreciation to individual volunteers, and with planning and executing volunteer recognition events.
• Strong organizational skills are required for this position in order to ensure that all required clearances are completed by incoming volunteers and interns according to state regulations.
• In addition to supporting the Volunteer & Internship Department, you will also support other teams in YAI's HR Department by taking on additional meaningful day-to-day tasks and special projects.
• Additional duties as assigned
