This position will be a part of the Human Resource team and will own projects in Compensation and Benefits, HR Shared Services and HR Technology, and gain exposure to HR Generalist accountabilities at a community. Compensation and Benefits – project centered on drafting updated Leave of Absence Policies and Procedures for a centralized LOA process. This work will include reviewing and recommending current paid time off policies Making recommendations for refreshed policies Creating communication plans Creating change management plans (approximately 5 weeks full-time) HR Shared Services and HR Technology – exposure to a broad view across all HR functional areas and some exposure to HR Technology. (approximately 5 weeks) HR Generalist – An opportunity to work at a Covenant Living community to take part in HR generalist accountabilities, which could include (approximately 2 weeks unless TR/HRIS wants more time): New employee onboarding and orientation Employee relations issues HR compliance Employee engagement This position will report to the VP of Total Rewards but will work closely with other HR Leaders. Skills that would be helpful or developed in this role: Knowledge of Microsoft products: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Strong written and oral communication skills used in story telling Strong time management and organizational skills Critical thinking skills, along with good decision making and judgement Ability to work independently and as part of team Ability to maintain confidentiality
