About The Position

Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Intern provides administrative support for the recruiting and hiring process, with exposure to other HR functions. Responsibilities & Duties: Support and lead recruitment efforts for hourly, shop-floor positions. Conduct initial candidate screenings and interviews. Assist with new-hire orientation and onboarding activities. Serve as a technical resource by addressing and resolving questions and issues related to the recruiting function. Create and post job openings on various job boards, internal platforms, and social media channels. Organize and maintain employee records by scanning and uploading new and existing documents into the electronic filing system. Assist the Human Resources department with additional HR-related functions and projects, as assigned. Manage and respond to departmental mail and correspondence. Follow and comply with all safety regulations and work rules and maintain a clean and orderly work area. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; enrollment in related field of study at a 2 or 4 year college preferred.
  • Effective written and oral communication.
  • Ability to track and trend data and present findings in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Ability to critically think and solve problems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn about the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
