Our Summer Internship Program is a transformative experience designed to help you grow, connect, and take the next step in your professional journey. The Beltway Region Human Resources team supports employees across Maryland, Washington D.C., Delaware, Virginia, and West Virginia. Our team partners with Field Technicians, Construction, Sales & Marketing (Xfinity and Comcast Business), Business Development, and administrative functions including Finance, Government Affairs, and Communications. We focus on employee engagement, development, and operational excellence. Interns will collaborate with HR professionals and cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and daily operations. As a Human Resources Intern in the Beltway Region, you will gain hands-on experience in HR operations, analytics, and employee engagement. You'll support a variety of functions and business units, helping to drive initiatives that improve employee retention, development, and satisfaction. You'll work on real-world projects such as analyzing hiring trends, supporting engagement events, and assisting with development programs. Your contributions will help shape the employee experience across the region.

  • Pull and analyze HR reports in Workday, including retention, hiring trends, and headcount data
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives such as recognition programs, surveys, and regional events
  • Support development programs including onboarding, training coordination, and career development workshops
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to support field and corporate teams
  • Participate in HR generalist activities such as policy review, compliance tracking, and documentation
  • Assist with communications and reporting for government affairs and community impact initiatives
  • Provide research and administrative support for HR projects and presentations
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university
  • Rising Junior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2027- Spring 2028)
  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 1 through August 14, 2026
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with Smartsheet
  • Passion for employee development, engagement, and inclusion
  • Preferred Majors: Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or related fields
