About The Position

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner / HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR Operations and HRIS functions during a temporary coverage period. This role is operational and systems-focused, supporting onboarding, offboarding, HR documentation, reporting, and HRIS administration. This position does not handle employee relations or payroll processing and requires someone who can work independently in a fully onsite environment while partnering closely with a Maryland-based HR team.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in onboarding, query execution, and metrics.
  • Experience with Workday HRIS (HR Operations & Administration).
  • Strong attention to detail and process compliance.
  • Capability in HR metrics, reporting, queries, and audits.
  • Skilled in data entry and human resources systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and HR documentation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for HR process and policy questions (non-employee relations).
  • Manage and monitor the HR inbox, ensuring timely acknowledgment and resolution of requests.
  • Coordinate and execute onboarding and offboarding activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support and assist with U.S. new-hire orientation (support role only).
  • Maintain compliance with E-Verify and I-9 requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee data within HR systems.
  • Perform regular audits of HR files and records to ensure completeness and compliance.
  • Support HR metrics, reporting, and data queries as needed.
  • Process and document personnel changes such as promotions, transfers, title changes, and compensation updates.
  • Maintain and update HR process documentation as systems or workflows change.
  • Provide backup support to HR team members to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to HR processes and systems.
