About The Position

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing professional level Human Resources duties and works closely with JWC management to support designated groups. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, onboarding, affirmative action, HRIS records maintenance, policy implementation and employment law compliance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or completion of Human Resources certification program.
  • Three years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • Possess knowledge of state and federal employment law.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations & Support Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Support a positive employee experience by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with investigations of employee relations issues under direction of HR leadership.
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and safe work environment.
  • Recruitment Support & Onboarding Facilitate onboarding activities such as preparing new‑hire paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • HR Administration Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and personnel files.
  • Assist with payroll changes, benefits enrollment, status changes, and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare HR documents such as employment letters, reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Performance Management Support the administration of performance review processes.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance documentation and development activities.
  • Track training, development, and performance‑related actions.
  • Support compensation processes, including job evaluations, pay adjustments, and audit activities.
  • Compliance Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Assist with audits, required postings, and policy updates.
  • Ensure the organization adheres to internal and external HR standards.
