About The Position

Smardt is looking to hire an experienced HR Generalist to join our team! We're looking for someone who will play a key role in coordinating various HR operations and employee services for our manufacturing team, including performance management, recruiting, HR policy implementation and day to day coordination of employee relations. Please note this is an on-site role. Employee relations: act as the first point of contact and resource for manufacturing employees (front-line) on HR related issues Carry out the administrative management of employee files and workplace accident files, in collaboration with the occupational health and safety coordinator. Support the HR team with various administrative tasks and projects. Support recruiting efforts Provide education on HR policies and procedures. Help resolve employee relations issues and support conflict resolution efforts Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in compliance with local and global standards Contribute to HR reporting, metrics, and continuous improvement projects Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory HR requirements

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of HR coordinator/HR shared services experience preferred
  • Experience supporting employee inquiries and HR processes
  • The ability to communicate in French with our team in Québec is required.
  • In a multicultural and international environment, strong English skills are also required to interact with part of our clientele and our international team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HRIS systems (BambooHR, ADP, SAP, etc.) considered an asset
