About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in supporting the overall mission of our HVAC/Plumbing/Generator services company by managing various HR functions that contribute to a positive workplace culture. Here are the most common day-to-day focuses: Payroll Benefits and Time Off Recruiting and Onboarding Policies, Safety Training, and Handbook Management

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • The required skills for this role include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for effectively interacting with employees and management.
  • Organizational skills are crucial for maintaining accurate employee records and managing multiple HR functions simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving skills will be utilized to address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ADP
  • Preferred skills, such as proficiency in HRIS systems, will enhance the efficiency of HR processes and data management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
  • Administer employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support employee relations by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and facilitating conflict resolution.
