We are seeking a passionate, high performing, driven, and creative Human Resources Generalist to support Above Lending’s hiring and onboarding goals as we rapidly grow and scale to meet business demands. The HR Generalist will play a critical, hands-on role in supporting the employees and leaders across the full employee lifecycle. This is a hybrid role based out of our Chicago, IL office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or related degree
  • 3+ years of Human Resources, recruiting, or other relevant experience
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
  • Comfort challenging the status quo and bringing ideas to leadership
  • Self-starter with a sense of ownership

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with recruiting is preferred
  • Familiarity with ADP and Lever is preferred, or other HRIS and ATS

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Support end-to-end onboarding, including new hire paperwork, orientation scheduling and training, and system access
  • Coordinate with Payroll on leave of absence, time off, or other timecard adjustments
  • Assist with recruiting efforts such conducting screenings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and job posting coordination
  • Manage tracking success of sales and operations new hires through their training periods, and other performance management lifecycles
  • Maintain accurate employee and candidate records in the HRIS/ATS
  • Support exit interviews and offboarding tasks, including documentation and feedback tracking
  • Respond to basic employee HR inquiries and assist with administrative HR tasks

  • This role is eligible for additional incentives, including an annual bonus. These rewards are allocated based on level, impact, and performance in the role. The compensation range is based on the level outlined in the job posting, and compensation decisions are dependent on each applicant's experience, skills and abilities.
