About The Position

This roles blends hands-on HR, payroll, and people ops in a fast-moving environment where culture actually matters. You’ll assist in keeping the people side of our factory running smoothly- from hiring and onboarding to payroll, benefits, and employee engagement. This is a true HR Generalist role where no two days look the same, and your work directly supports the people who build our boards. If you like variety, autonomy, and being the person employees trust and turn to then this role is for you. We operate on a 4 day work week (Monday through Thursday) with 10 hour shifts. Some Fridays will be required throughout the year based on the payroll processing schedule. This is an hourly position based in our Sequim, WA manufacturing facility, upstairs in a shared office environment.

  • Windows operating environment and MS Office products (Excel and Word)

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years HR experience preferred
  • Experience with payroll processing preferred
  • Experience using ADP system preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist HR Manager in full cycle recruiting for production roles
  • Contact candidates, schedule interviews, and assist with hiring decisions for production positions
  • Process new hire paperwork and personnel changes in HR system
  • Coordinate and facilitate new employee orientation for production employees
  • Process bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll in ADP
  • Process garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, etc.
  • Enter employee time off requests into ADP and applicable calendars
  • Support benefits administration throughout the year including open enrollment ensuring benefits selections are accurately entered into HR system
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and complete personnel records
  • Process employment verifications and background checks
  • Complete form I-9, verify I-9 documentation and maintain I-9 files
  • Perform administrative duties for Mervin Safety Committee
  • Process HR related invoices each month
  • Assist with reporting requests and audits
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Assist with leave administration: FMLA, PFML, ADA, STD, LTD, etc.
  • Provide general administrative support to manufacturing facility
  • Serve as the on-site HR go-to for employee questions and support
  • Assist with engagement initiatives, and employee events
  • Drive clear communication and help foster a positive, inclusive factory culture
  • Educate employees and leaders on HR policies and best practices
