About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in delivering exceptional employee experiences through outstanding customer service, accurate records management, and proactive support of HR operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being a go-to resource for employees and thrives in a hands-on HR environment supporting payroll, benefits, and employee engagement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of HR experience.
  • Payroll experience is required.
  • Experience with Paylocity preffered.
  • SHRM, CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service mindset and ability to handle confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with payroll, 401(k), and benefits administration.
  • Experience supporting employee engagement initiatives.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative, approachable, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles or willingness to learn.
  • SHRM, CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing timely, professional, and service-oriented support.
  • Process bi-monthly payroll.
  • Administer the 401(k) plan.
  • Administer employee benefits and support the annual open enrollment process.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, events, and internal communications.
  • Support community service initiatives.
  • Maintain a welcoming, responsive, and confidential HR presence for employees and leadership.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, files, and HR systems.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and HR data tracking as needed.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding, and transitions.
  • Assist with company and employee insurance licensing and renewals.
  • Provide support to the Controller with accounting-related tasks as needed.
  • Assist with recruiting and hiring processes as needed.
