About The Position

Grant Aviation is an Alaskan regional air carrier serving rural Alaska since 1971, employing approximately 350 people. The company provides scheduled air transport of passengers, cargo, and mail, as well as air ambulance and charter service, operating from bases in Bethel, Emmonak, Dillingham, King Salmon, Cold Bay, Dutch Harbor, Kenai, and Anchorage. The Human Resources Generalist will report to the Human Resources Manager and be a critical part of the HR team, contributing to the development of tools and processes for a growing business. This role involves further developing orientation training for new employees to ensure they are well-informed about their jobs, culture, and team standards. The Generalist will also be responsible for maintaining complete and accurate employee records, including security and badge requests, tracking authorized drivers, and updating licenses and certifications, ensuring information is accessible for management and audits. With the company in the process of selecting a new HRIS system, the Generalist will have the opportunity to shape company processes and systems. Grant Aviation has significantly grown, and the HR department is central to preparing for the company's future, enhancing current services, developing new practices, and planning for departmental and company growth. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years' Human Resources experience required
  • Education related to the essential functions and duties will be evaluated for relevance in place of or supporting experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a critical part of the HR team as we develop our tools and processes to support our growing business
  • Contribute to further developing orientation training for all incoming employees
  • Ensure complete and accurate employee records, to include security and badge requests and tracking
  • Maintain current information about authorized drivers
  • Track and update required licenses and certifications
  • Ensure information is readily accessible for management or audit purposes
  • Shape the company process and system during the implementation of a new HRIS system
  • Enhance current HR services to the company
  • Develop new HR practices and procedures to add value to current operations
  • Plan for the future of the HR department and the company
  • Administer Human Resources functions
