About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to spearhead the development of our team at the newly established Hagerstown Distribution Center. In this independent role, you will manage the full employee lifecycle, providing support to our employees and executing key HR initiatives while ensuring compliance with state and local employment laws. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner/Generalist role
  • Bachelor's degree in HR studies and/or PHR/SPHR preferred
  • Broad knowledge of Federal and State laws
  • Strong performance management and employee relations experience
  • Ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees at all levels in the organization
  • Effective communication skills -- written, verbal and listening
  • Ability to work well across different functions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and to navigate leaders through a variety of organizational changes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite

Responsibilities

  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Conduct background/criminal, credit and reference checks for new employees
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help plan training and development
  • Act as a point of contact for managers and employees, responding to ad hoc requests and escalating where appropriate
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resources policies
  • Ensure proper entry/tracking of employee files in our HRIS system
