As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing this environment by providing comprehensive HR support and serving as a key resource for payroll operations. Your efforts will ensure our team is equipped with the necessary resources to succeed, managing HR functions across our locations while championing our dynamic culture in pursuit of our mission to deliver "The Best Takeout Pizza in the Universe!"

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource or Business Administration strongly preferred; PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of Human Resources and payroll processing experience.
  • Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish.
  • Preferred background in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational and payroll cycle needs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred background in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP of Operations to handle employee issues, including investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Support management in disciplinary actions and termination processes.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, partner with the CEO when necessary.
  • Oversee unemployment claims, including responses, documentation, and hearings.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Maintain precise payroll records following state and federal regulations.
  • Compile payroll reports by ensuring accurate data collection at the end of each cycle and prepare reports as needed.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies or issues efficiently.
  • Support payroll account reconciliation and assist in audits related to payroll and benefits.
  • Handle filing, documentation, and investigation of worker’s claims.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in maintaining employee records and HR documentation, following best practices for data management and confidentiality.
  • Administer employee health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance plans effectively.
  • Act as a liaison between employees, brokers, and benefit providers to quickly resolve issues.
  • Ensure COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and leave policies comply with regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
